While we're on the subject of Elijah Wood, but slightly off-topic, I caught a couple of episodes of Wilfred last Saturday night after FX aired Louis C.K.: Live from the Beacon Theatre and two eps of Louie.
I never really watched it before, I would just see it was on and switch to something else, they aired the first two episodes as part of their Fully Baked late-night weekend block. That shit was ill, definitely gonna have to delve deeper into it. But what I'm saying is, I think it's awesome how Elijah Wood has made the transition from child actor to an adult without being typecasted, whoring out for a paycheck, or any of the other fucked up aspects of being a child star. Lord of the Rings could've given him a stigma as well, but he beat the odds on all of that shit.
