I think hip hop is doing just fine and doesn't care about your opinion! In 10 years from now hip hop will still be living and some new acts will come up and you will still be going on about wu tang clan and onyx.

I can see now what's the biggest difference between hip hop and other genres. Hip hop is so drastically changing during the decades(because it's a reflection of life) the trends are changing with the speed of light, that older generations in most cases just can't adapt or recognize the new school, it was probably same around the time wu tang and boot camp click was blowing up, or when rapper's delight was recorded.

I'm 24 and have no clue what so ever why anyone can still listen to hip hop at all unless they're younger than me. It was really cool when i was 14 and weened with time since then, but right now, men saying sentences that rhyme doesn't really come off as that spectacular anymore. I can't, for the life of my, imagine listening to hip hop in 10 years from today.
I dont think i listened to it 10 months prior to this thread. When you're a kid and teenager that shit is perfect, but as you get older it's just fucking retarded and immature, even the 'intelligent' and mature rappers.

Lowkey is great. Conscious hiphop is in England right now with him, Logic and Akalah. I don't really like Lowkey's voice tho.

only music better than hip hop on an intellectual level is classical music and jazz music.

all the rest r basicly same level of intelligence if u listen to the best stuff.

good music you loved growing up with you always go back to as a grown man at random times. plus theres hip hop i didnt really like that came out in the late 90s early 2000's that i enjoy listening to now.

and the also for example a couple of years ago i got into the 90's independent Houston rap scene, but i didnt even know that music existed until i was like 22, because at the time it was local, but then the internet happened...

then you can mix in the odd modern album thats good, i dont see why someone would stop listening to hip hop just because they got older.
