Neither of these assholes are being realistic. They are actually trying to make a pitch to the general public about bringing back manufacturing jobs to the US??

That's interesting when Foxconn (just 1 example) is replacing a large percentage of their workforce with 1 million robots... which will handle some of the more low-skilled, labor jobs like fabrication.

This trend will continue to displace workers in nearly every sector. Although new jobs will be created... they may not be jobs these people have the intellect to handle.

Some actually may be - since 3d printing is going to be pretty disruptive with what China exports to us. But the numbers will be nothing close to what we had in the last century.

I'm really curious to see if Capitalism does hit a gaussian curve. I actually could see autonomous production of goods becoming so efficient and fast, that it outpaces consumer spending in a down economy. Then the entire system comes to a halt.

every system sucks but capitalism sucks the least. but i dont like a capitalist system which is too right wing where people in charge of private businesses can do whatever they want. there has to be some form of control from the government in order to keep people in line and not too greedy.
