I was wondering what people's thoughts are on this movie? Over the years, I've heard about how it's supposed to be a real realistic movie and worth checking out. Any thoughts?

i found it to be terrible lol
poorly shot, stilted performances, horrific pacing
it reminded me of some movie of the week shit
the story is interesting so it's worth watching for that i suppose...but it could've been so much better.
i was very disappointed when i saw it.

Well the film was shot in 16 mm with a budget of $110,000 and in less than a month.

^^^excuses, excuses lol...it doesn't take money to orchestrate shots, stage scenes, and direct actors though...over 100,000 dollars is more than enough to make a slick and competent film, deadlines or not, in my opinion.
check it out though, and let me know what you think...i'm interested in other opinions on this movie.

I liked it but if your part of this generation thats use to seeing over the top gore like in the saw films & Hostel then its gonna be boring to you, cause its more of a Psychological thriller then an actual horror movie..........There's a Really fucked up scene at the end where the big Redneck tries to rape his sister , and then theres one where they kill off a family but theres no real blood or nothin...........Overall a pretty creepy flick but dont expect the blood and guts to be in your face like your use to these days

dunno what that other guy was on about with the acting and direction. acting was super and direction was competent with some really nicely shot scenes.

I saw this a very long time ago and don't remember it very well at all, but from what I recall it was worth watching. I remember it as being a very raw, and rather heavy film. Very fucked up and quite depraved.

I might actually take another look at it, now that you mention it.
