I was Stumbling recently and came across an astrophysicist that was explaining that we arent really moving in space as much as the space around us is expanding, growing. We sit relatively still while dark matter, space itself etc is hauling ass. Im not quite sure how galaxies collide in this paradigm but the concept of it all took me by surprise.
