1.A structure consisting of an upright with a transverse beam used especially by the ancient Romans for execution.
Would those who really love Jesus wear the instrument used to hang him on their bodies? Are these the followers of Jesus? Why would somebody choose this as a thing of remembrance? What is the mentality behind it? And to symbolically eat his flesh and drink his blood?? Is this love? What is the deal with this obsession with pain and death and flesh and blood? |

long suffering
overcoming pain, suffering, and in Jesus's case, death is like extreme pressure on coal, the end result is diamond, dam near unbreakable diamond. he possibly shared his inheritance with the world - his blood line - his family - so that the love of God his father could be for all

Man as an individual is more often than not fragmented due to specific trauma on both a day to day experiential level as well as through genetic and collective unconscious memory of trauma. For some reason this is how the human mind deals with trauma. It compartmentalizes it and creates many different personas, wearing different masks.
The astrotheoligical religions at their root are meant as a map to guide one through the many different landscapes of the mind back to the source point; the Self. |

the mentality behind the cross is God displaying the characteristics of sovereignty, holiness, justice, goodness, lovingkindness, mercy, and graciousness. the cross symbolizes the salvific(sp?) work of Christ taking the punishment for the sins of God's elect people in preparing those elect people for eternal life with God in heaven.
as far as drinking jesus blood and eating his flesh, http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/...8&version=NASB those who partake in jesus' flesh and blood receive life from Christ.

Quote:
i can relate - the more sincere concern you show to people, the more they'll attempt to snuff out your light - as soon as you're feeling good, smiling, and sharing love, here comes the hater - especially when the love you are giving is getting attention - they wanna come around and try to prove to everyone that you ain't worth shit - they'll lie if they have to Quote:
the good is in what he gave and did for others - the mercy he showed to those who were so called unworthy - his love caused them to feel even more guilty of their ways and they felt exposed - so much so, they killed him the cross is symbolic of his sacrifice - people don't normaly wear or use it to glorify pain and blood shed

True. But by wearing the cross, is not his death being remembered instead of the good he has done in his life? Shouldn't the symbol of his remembrance be something dignifying and indicative of what he was?
In the bible, it is written: John 10:11 - 11 “I am the good shepherd...." John 15:5 - “Yes, I am the vine; you are the branches." A shepherd and a vine are more appropriate symbols to show what he was, a cross is inappropriate as a symbol showing who he was as a person. I would assume most mothers of children that have died would choose to remember their children's lives not the way they went out. I've never seen them wear symbols or the tools or weapons of their enemies (if they were murdered) as items of remembrance for their child. If they did that, it would be weird. I find it weird that Jesus is remembered by a cross (the symbol and tool of their enemies at the time - the Romans) when he was a righteous man who did good things. He did more than hang on a cross. My point is way over heads. I finish now.

The Smell of The Future

New International Version (©1984)
Then Jesus said to his disciples, "If anyone would come after me, he must deny himself and take up his cross and follow me. King James Bible (Cambridge Ed.) Then said Jesus unto his disciples, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me. it represents sacrifice - i assume it's way worst today than it was 2000 years ago - any one who cares and does good today is viewed as a faggot. you spousa jus get the pussy and smack the shit outa niggas - get yours and get over - if you ain't livin like this, yousa pussy - and this is the mentality that is promoted - so... the Jesus of this time comes with a sword dripping with blood - .......he's still a very loving, kind, giving and caring person, but dude will fuck you up today. i know where you are going with what you are saying, but you asked questions. it's said that he died for our sins side build though - was he hung on a cross or a tree ? or is a cross a tree ? Acts 10 38how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and power, and how he went around doing good and healing all who were under the power of the devil, because God was with him. 39“We are witnesses of everything he did in the country of the Jews and in Jerusalem. They killed him by hanging him on a tree, Acts 5 The God of our fathers raised Jesus from the dead--whom you had killed by hanging him on a tree Acts 13:29 "they took him down from the tree" 1 Peter 2:24 "who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree"
