What made you choose "Don't Sweat the Technique" over say..."Follow the Leader"?

Also, do you think "Dah Shinin" is more essential than "Enta Da Stage"?

Darkside of the Moon - Pink Floyd

The last three are examples of percussion or harmony based backings that show glimpses into early production methods in Hip-Hop.
I absolutely love Donuts, but is it essential for hiphop listeners? I don't know, never thought about it like that.

dont sweat the tech always stood out to me. song like casualties of war, dont sweat the technique and know the ledge were some of his best jams. enta the stage is better then the shining, but someone had already listed it. it also kind of goes without saying that you should own that album.

Without Enta Da Stage there would be no Dah Shinin.

^True true.

I've never heard their second joint, "War Zone", is it worth checking out?

I think it's very good. It's obviously not as good as Enta Da Stage, but it's definitely worth checking out.

Don't expect the rest of the album to be on this level, this is one of the best tracks on there. I don't like the chorus here.

Nice list bro. Interesting Gang Starr choice, I would've figured their third or fourth albums to be the normal pick.
