O.C. - Starchild

I feel like A Prince Among Thieves is kind of a corny album because of the concept/mc's features on it, but the beats are great. Starchild isn't the strongest O.C. album i guess, but it has great production. War Report has a cohesive sound even though there were a lot of different producers, probably due to Tragedy's input...

I totally forgot about:

Redman - Dare Iz a Darkside -- Crazy dark and atmospheric production. Redman was totally strung out at this point and it shows. He must have been doing acid or some shit cause this joint is crazy!

Beastie Boys - Paul's Boutique -- The album that would be impossible to make today due to copyright laws. Totally innovative and unique. I never tire of it.

Public Enemy - Muse-Sick-N-Hour-Mess-Age -- Yeah I chose this one because I just like the more aggressive and raw vibe of it. The noise is incredible as are all of the Bomb Squad's work.

Nah, it's 36 Chambers every day. In terms of best early Wu production? Maybe, although all of the first wave of Wu albums could take that spot. Personally I'm a big fan of Ironman's production. It's like an early RZA "best of" collection of productions.

really hard question, but Im going to try to give a list.

usually on an album hip-hop I love beats first and then the lyrics, of course if the lyrics are good the album wins a whole new dimension.

in no particular order

Wu-Tang - Forever
GZA - Liquid Swords
Ghostface - Ironman
Method Man - Tical 2000
Cappadonna - The Pilage
Redman - Muddy Waters
Mobb Deep - Hell On Earth
Nas - It Was Written
CNN - The War Report
GangStarr - Hard To Earn
A Tribe Called Quest - The Low End Theory
Black Moon - Enta Da Stage
Smif-N-Wessun - Dah Shinin
Cypress Hill - Temples Of Boom

from this millennium I also love :

Prodigy - HNIC 2 ( best hip-hop LP from this millennium to me )
Beastie Boys - To the 5 Boroughs ( I dont even know who made the beats, and I know they are kinda basic, but I love them, and its a classic to me. I could also put other BB LP´s on this list but other albuns from them are not strictly hip-hop, apart from Licensed to Ill, but I dont like that album ver much, usually I dont like most 80´s sound. )
Evidence - Weather Man LP ( Cats & Dogs has also amazing beats )
Jay-Z - The Black Album ( this album had some good beats )
SchoolBoy Q - Habits & Contradictions ( amazing beats on this LP that even an ALC beat wasnt one of the best beats on the LP )

I could also put some other albuns from some artists on my list, but I wanted to keep one album per artist.

I know there´s a lack of soul-hip-hop shit but I dont listen to it often tbh.

I gave you a long list, but I listen to a lot of music, so I couldnt give you a small list.

Me. I'm more of the DJ Premier type of Boom Bap but my favorite production work has to be from the east when people like Easy Mo Bee, Prince Paul and Marley Marl were making music; there's just something about piano keys and the whole grimeyness of it that draws me in.
