Default Roots album still comin out next week??

Just wanted to know if the new Roots album Game Theory will still be droppin on the 29th....

I think the Roots are one of the illest and original hip hop groups and I think alot of their material is classic(Things Fall Apart and Organix...)

Anyone else lookin forward to the album? You think theyll have a more "commercial" sound b/c they are on Def Jam now??

It's comin' out next week. The shit is not commercial, a few R&B hooks, but not pop at all. "In the Music", perfect example, fuckin' dark hardcore shit, fuckin' love that song, go check it out.

I like their stuff but I'm afraid I downloaded the album last week as I wasn't sure if I would like it.

I was worrying for nothing, it is a brilliant album but very different.

I will buy this when it comes out.

peace

This is pretty mych as far from commercial as you can get. It will actually be less commercial on def jam than interscope, jimmy iovine was pulling most of the strings on the last album. Hova has made one really good label move, creating def jam left and giving roots nearly total creative freedom. It's just great music, with black thought proving he is top 10 alltime.

I have a rough cut of the video(s) they shot for this album last month for this. It was a 3 part video with Don't Feel right and two other joints off the album (can't think of the names right now) Def Jam hated the video so they won't release it. The kid who shot it did a stop motion video for Aesop Rock a couple of years ago and they gave him a shot to do their video but apparentely they felt he dropped the ball. The video isn't bad, but for The Roots to be in an entirely new situation with Def Jam and what not, I see why they were disappointed. If my contact who slid this too me gives me clearance (he could lose his job) for me to upload then I will
