Default Yall Wanna Hear An Excellent Album/musik???

BCC - THE LAST STAND.

YOU WANT SUMTHIN TO HOLD U DOWN @ LEAST UNTIL DILLA DROPS - THIS IZ WHAT UP FELLAZ (AND LADIES)

HERE'Z WHAT BROUGHT THIS UP - A MESSAGE FROM DRU HA, AFFILIATES, HIPHOPGAME.COM:

http://www.hiphopgame.com/news.php3?id=1389

Duck Down Records is putting the finishing touches on Sean Prices sophomore record Jesus Price, which is tentatively scheduled for an October 31 release. Duck Down Records Co-CEO Dru Ha told HipHopGame the album may be pushed back to November 21 if they feel they need more set-up time. Jesus Price features production from 9th Wonder and Khrysis, PF Cuttin, Moss and guest appearances from Sadat X, Little Brother, and Boot Camp Clik.

The Boot Camp Clik recently ended their national tour for their latest album The Last Stand. The tour was incredible, Dru Ha said. We couldnt have asked for better turnouts. People were supporting in every market. The Knitting Factory in LA was off the hook and the show in Philly was historic with the Wu-Tang Clan, Rakim, and Redman. Just when you think youve seen everything, it keeps growing. From the new material to the old material, the show is action-packed. While the national tour is over, Boot Camp will be hitting some more cities on spot dates including Boston this weekend, Toronto and Ottawa September 28 and 29 respectively.

Despite mostly positive reviews of The Last Stand, the sales have not shot through the roof. The Last Stand scanned 4,100 copies the first week and is currently approaching the 10,000 mark after four weeks with an estimated 28,000 copies shipped. Despite these numbers, Dru Ha considers the album a success. If you go back and read our interview prior to the album being released, I said The Last Stand would be a success if it outsold the Triple Threat records, which its on pace to do, Dru Ha told HipHopGame. I know what were up against and people will say it is what it is, but its not a surprise to me. I know the restraints of being an an indie label. If you dont have radio and video support and youre going into a Best Buy or any national chain against labels like Def Jam or Interscope who have national campaigns for their artists, youre going to have a tough time. The Boot Camp Cliks last album, The Chosen Few, is currently approaching 40,000 copies.

In other Duck Down news, Dru Ha recently accepted the Urban Music Director at Cornerstone Promotions. Ive known Rob Stone at Cornerstone for years, Dru said. Rob and his partner John Cohen, who I went to Syracuse University with, are the reason Im even in the music business, period. When I graduated, Jon Cohen got me an internship with Rob Stone over at EMI/SBK and Rob eventually helped land me my first job with Nervous Records. Throughout the years Ive always kept in contact with these guys and have gotten and given advice, support, etc when needed.

This past year Duck Down was working out of the Cornerstone office space, Dru continued. When Chris Atlas moved on, Rob came up with the idea of having me take over as Urban Music Director for Cornerstone. It made a lot of sense for me and Duck Down. While Ill continue to run Duck Down, Cornerstone offers me a chance to exercise relationships I already have within the industry with artists, DJs, labels, marketing partners, etc. Im also excited about the opportunity to continue to learn and expand my knowledge in dealing with corporate companies and major labels that Cornerstone is already thoroughly involved with and highly regarded in.

Buckshot and 9th Wonder are also still at work on their second album together, The Formula. Duck Down is currently considering a tour for that album with Buckshot, 9th Wonder and possibly Murs.

Heltah Skeltah is also in the studio working on their long-awaited third album. They are currently four songs deep into the album.

Dru Ha also hinted that an OGC album may be on the horizon. While he spared the details, he did tell HipHopGame, The tour kind of rejuvenated them and I wouldnt be surprised if we saw an OGC project in 07.

I copped the album the day it came out too, yeah the boot camp show was as live as the 2 Wu shows this year at Revolution. But people where a lil bit more hyped at the Wu shows because they are more familiar with their lyrics.
