Photoshop version compatability question - Wu-Tang Corp. - Official Site of the Wu-Tang Clan

I just reinstalled my pc, and now I need to install Pohotoshop again. The version I was running was 7. Only my PC is a AMD Athlon. And I know CS 2 won't work on it because I don't have the supported chip set and instructions set.
So the question is will CS 1 work?

i dont think there is a CS1 version... *shrugs* PM Born Invincible... i know he still uses Photoshop 7

i'm with mash... upgrade.. but for the most part yo can just download ps7 from bittorrent, and i'm sure nows days any older ps download comes with the cracks or a serial code... soo just do it that way is any thing...

Lol, All the money I got right now is a state loan for my study. And I already have the version 7 lying around. I was just wondering if I could upgrade.

But Thanks for the tips. Guess I'm just off to 7 then.

I tried upgrading and was not succesful at it..
I couldnt get the CS2 version to work on my pc.. and I got that same processor as your pc./. I cant wait til next year.. Im getting a MAC

I use both 7 and CS2.. question for you. whats your system specs? i have never heard of anything that would prohibit running CS2 or 7 for that matter. are you getting any errors messages? you using a MAC?

I bought the computer last year in February so its not that old...
but the specs are as follows:
512 MB of memory
200 GB hardrive
3200+ AMD Athlon Processor
umm
next year I will be getting a MAC

If I'm correct it's about the following:
(SSE2-enabled processor required for AMD systems)

This is one of the requirements for Adobe Encore DVD. It's a special Instruction set your processors uses. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SSE2

Cpu's support the SSE2 set. I think it's really all about 64 bit bus.
