its funny how the title of the article was of a more importance to the forum rather than its content.

but i guess it's not surprising given its almost chirtmass time.

but when it comes to that santa... right now in the current economic state of the world, i guess the whole concept of santa is based on the economic boost of localities all across the globe where such holidays are practiced.

i once heard of a theory that says the current year is split into 4 major economic phases of lows and highs. this would make sense (christmass and new year's in the winter, easter in the spring, holiday season in the summer and i don't know... thanksgiving in between?)

people get gifts, money is spent, people are happy and content while the economy undergoes a boost and then a subsequent chill-out until spring.

some base the idea of santa on religion and history but i don't know the ins and outs of that one.
