Right, I'm making a sig with pictures of all the wu members performing live, but I don't know what to have as a background. I was thinking a picture of a crowd holding up Ws but it looks a bit shit. Anyone got any ideas for backgrounds (and how to make them) or any ways on how to make my idea better?

nice idea...pick up a good pic of new york or staten island, something like that...looks best in sepia or black/white imo
crowds in the back do not really flow that good with a sig

I wanna include a w in there somewhere, but the only pictures I can find on the internet have the text through the middle, which I don't want. What's the best way to get rid of the text and fill in the gap?

I quite like it like that.

I'm usin the wu-tang brushset to do W's, don't know if that's possible to use in Gimp...

search for W's on google, yahoo and flickr...

Once I download a brush, how do I use it? I've saved it in the right place but I can't use it as a brush, I have to just open up the image. Is it possible to do this or do you just have to open up the image. I'm pretty confused.

Well, I've downloaded some brush sets, how do I actually use them as brushes? The only way I can use them is by opening up the image files and pasting them places.

Oh and here is my second sig, what you all think? Suggestions?

try to keep the keep the generals in the same size compared to each other - just like they are really standin next to each other and perform... for example here GZA is a lil bit too big...
nice idea with the W and the text, I like that...

Yeah I tried but it's hard because they're all very different pictures. Rza is also too small because his image is a lot taller with his hands in the air. I'm not completely finished though, still some touch ups needed. If you notice on that pic Meth's pic is completely cut off at the left, he is supposed to be behind U-God to hide it.

Oh yeah and what about the brushes? How do I use them? Thanks for all the help, much appreciated

I dunno how about the program u use..in PS you copy the brushes in the right folder and afterwards load them in PS - that's it...

Anyone else got any feedback or suggestions other that ID, he's keeping this thread alive on his own.

Oh yeah I got another question, what's the best way of cutting out images? At the moment I'm creating a path around the image and cutting it out from the background. Is there any better way, this way is a bit long winded and doesn't give a very smooth image.

ps. Razor, could you change the name of this thread to Sean's Sigs?
