yo

after observing a heated debate about vegetarianism vs. meat eating
i noticed a certain parallel to the favorite topic of discussion here on the KTL forums:

maybe it is because race is suggestive of who you are
and food is suggestive that 'you are what you eat'

and nobody likes being told what they 'are' by another person

although - it is good that we are discussing it

at least it shows that we are trying

(as the child struggles in the womb thru the late stages of the pregnancy)

at least this way we can also divide everybody up into more categories
and instead of having 1 on 1 battles
we can have 4-way brawls

white vegetarians
black meat eaters
white meat eaters
black vegetarians

hopefully soon we can find some more ways to split up the teams

Dietary debates are always amusing. There's really no room to argue the issue as the results are smack in front of is. Why argue when you can present verified facts and let each make his own decision based on those?

I think you are on to something, but there are too many kinds of people to put them in categories. I guess I would be a "white vegetarian", but I don't think I'm the same as another "white vegetarian". My friends I have most in common regarding social, political, religious beliefs, and taste in movies and music, are "white and black meat eaters". My girlfriend is a "Japanese meat eater".
