I like the translation and got the same thing except for two lines: the first and last. I always thought when he said "gun to your mouth talk" that meant that he was speaking absolute truth. Like, imagine if someone had a gun to your mouth and told you to confess, you wouldn't play right? And the last line I thought was a drug reference. Rod Strickland was a point guard, a good point guard. And a good point guard has a lot of assists, you know what I mean. Also, you could play that off the performance aspect of making the crowd jump with him being the M.C. (master of ceremonies) and the point guard being the coach on the basketball court.
