Default Can anyone identify the vocal sample in this Tricky song?

In the background of the beat... it sounds like a rapper or a dancehall toaster

Well....anyway much appreciation for Tricky and the seriously ill beats he used to make. Glad he seems to be happier now, but how I miss the vibe of those first couple albums.

He needs to get that Bird woman back on his albums.

Kind of doubt that would happen. They used to date and even had a kid together but haven't been together in probably a decade now. She has her own solo career. I think they're on good terms, but I doubt she'll ever be his primary vocalist again considering he lives in L.A. now and (to my knowledge) she still lives in England.

Anyway, she's a great vocalist, but my favorite Tricky album, Nearly God, doesn't even have her on ever track. There's a bunch of great vocal collaborations all throughout that album, but the best part, though, is definitely the production. It's some of the most smoked out trippy, gloomy urban shit I've ever heard.
