how come certain websites wont allow you to register if you have an email account with yahoo

a couple wanted a gmail address

I dont know. Some sites you cant register with any 'free' e-mail provider.

strange i was a member and i didnt read the headline so i register with a yahoo email, i can log in and view pages and thread but couldnt post, i also notice some want a edu mail and these are hip-hop sites.....well most of them.
