one should really take a look at what happened to hip hop towards the end of the eighties. All of a sudden rich jewish businessmen suddenly took an interest and started signing up rappers and producers.
Hip hop then turned from being all about standing up to the government, fighting causes and helping your fellow man to being about drugs, sex and violence.
