not really a fan of Yelawolf but this is the best shit i've heard Em feature on in a while i think. dope, laid-back beat and i like that repetitive piano melody + they all have pretty good verses on this.

Hearing some of the dogshit Em comes out with like this makes me feel like he does it on purpose or summin, like he's making it so bad hoping the sales will drop and Jimmy Iovine will finally let him retire or summin........
The whole comeback when you look at it seems like his heart aint in it The whole time he was away people complained that they wanted "Slim Shady" back, so the first album he drops is a lesser version of it, that "Relapse" shit........ Except that it doesnt work anymore cause his heart aint in it, and instead of coming off funny and sarcastic, it came off embarassing and gay, and underperformed........Then he goes back to the drawing board and works with Rhianna and Bruno Mars, which Em himself had to have been shaking his head at............ The whole thing is calculated, and he looks miserable in every interview, like he'd rather be anywhere else but here, lol, I wouldnt be surprised if Jimmy and Dre went to him in 08 and said "We need more albums, shit aint sellin these days, we need your star power" and gave him a guilt trip, theres just no passion left As far as the other 2 on this joint, Gangsta Boo nailed the hook, three 6 shoulda never dropped that bitch, her and Infamous were the only 2 from the entire hypnotize minds camp that could rap at all...... Yelawolf just aint for me, I've heard everything that dropped from this album so far and he sounds like a Redneck knockoff of Tech N9ne to me, best shit he's done is the BET Cypher |

Eminem still throws out good shit every now and then. A lot of people, myself included thought 'Relapse' was dope. Most of the Bad/Evil album was like OG slim shady, On that basis I'd rather hear a whole album with Royce than another solo.
But yeah Yelawolf is obviously gonna get dropped after this album flops. Jimmy Iovine and Dre ain't fuckin with you unless you go platinum.

I don't know, i'm not saying you should like it, i'm just saying a lot of people would disagree with you about it being wack. most rappers come in the game and do their best work in their first few years, and their fanbase kind of diminishes or changes greatly after that, em is no different. Those are the halycon days. To be honest hes gotta find himself creatively again, same with Nas, Jay-Z and a lot of rappers. They should rest for a while and get their shit together.

Actually, alot of people would agree with me about it being wack, since the general consensus when it dropped was that it was wack and that he was washed up and over the hill............ Recovery went a completely diffrent direction because of how wack everyone said Relapse was........... Maybe not on this website, but the world at large gave relapse a "2 Thumbs Down" review, and forced him into Rhianna collaborations to avoid a total flop on what was suppose to be "Relapse 2"..... Those arent my opinions there facts And yes, I know what jokes are......... The ones on relapse werent funny, they were just gay.......... SSLP - Funny Em...........Relapse - Trying to hard, Gay Em |

those ARE your opinions, the same as mine, if you think they aren't then prove it.
yeah you speak for the world at large, its sold more because it was more mainstream, infact it was pop, and not even well made pop, just cynical corny bullshit. recovery was like something a 15 year old 80 IQ gay progerian would make, it sold more cos it was considerably gayer, but even look at wikipedia and the list of reviews and relapse did better.

But I have yet to meet anyone who liked that Relapse shit in real life, I know a few that didnt even bother listening to the next one after how bad that album was The SSLP and the MMLP sold well because they were funny and cynical and smart ass, in addition to being shocking Relapse was just trying to be shocking Eminem's thoughts........ "Hey, people say they want the old Slim Shady Back...... I know, I'll rap about being molested by my stepfather and shoving lamps up my asshole, thats controversy right there, Slim Shady is Back!!!!!" SMH........ |

can we all agree that bad meets evil was considerably better than both relapse and recovery?
