Deck is an awesome lyricist who lacks the resources and direction to be a great solo artist.

It's too bad he can't link up with a producer who gets him to put out an LP.

It's too bad that didn't happen on Uncontrolled - that was when he was in his prime. Now it seems like he has nothing new to say.

Without any direction, he's very hit and miss solo-wise.

Which means no, he isn't an all-time great, but is part of a group that's an all-time great, so he has that going for him, which is nice.

He's not an alltime great. As an artist, he's rather weak tbh.

The same applies a bit for Deck imho. And like 5Kut pointed out, his charisma is hella weak. He had energy and hunger to make it work for his first group albums, but once we were out in the 2000s, he has shown that he should stick to being a team player.


So my vote is no. He's a part of an alltime great unit, and got some alltime great verses, but he's not an alltime great.

you gonna tell me his verses on iron flag lacked charisma? there was no energy in those verses? what about on "take it back", "black mozart", "rockstars", "blast off", that nasty remix. you falling to sleep on those verses? wow! im left scratching my head when people say dude fell off and cant rhyme anymore.

his solo work suffers from poor beat selection which has nothing to do with his pen game which has always been on point. no one is listening though because the beats are terrible. thats one him, he has to get better production but that hasnt stopped him from continuing to rip the mic up.

how can you have classic verses for days and not be an all time great? im not saying he's top 10 but he's a first ballot hall of fame MC.
