Actually Ricanstruction isn't behind chino's regular schedule just yet.
He's dropped an album every 5 years since 96, the next should be released in 2011.

Supposively Ricanstruction is dropping on the 17th itunes only, & its gonna be a double album. Chino is one of the top mc's of all time, but pretty much the worst in output. In roughly 15yrs in the game, he's put out 3 official albums?

Who knows why he made the decision to get on the soaps, it does sound unusual for a talented MC to sideline his own career for that no matter how you look at it though.
I remember a mixtape he put out a few years ago where he was rhyming over mainstream beats and designing his songs toward radio appeal. He admitted that was his direction on a episode of Conspiracy Worldwide Radio and it was a mistake. I'm thinking the soap opera thing might have been part of career turmoil at the time. It says a lot about the industry and how the best talents can still have a hard time living off their craft. Here's another new one from Chino, I think it's a tight song. Straight beats, rhymes and cuts
