Default The official Jay Dee/J Dilla thread

In my opinion the greatest producer of all time and a true artist who never fell off

Some classic Dilla beats

His other albums are far superior, Donuts is an amazing body of work, but it's more experimental, EFX from the SP and less swing in the drums. It's a 5/5 instrumental album but all his other albums are better lol. A lot of people who don't look deeper into his discography think Donuts is his best work but they got to understand that most beats were made by Dilla when he was almost dead in the hospital and he got a SP202 (you can do very limited things with this great device but he got the best out of it) and made beats with that machine. He always used to work best with the MPC 3000 Limited Edition.
