Yes, that sort of behavior is tied to insecurity, some men feel like they're exerting control when dominating her in bed.

I'm not into intimate encounters for points or bragging rights, most of my male friends aren't either because I don't hang out with douchebags.

If anything, I'd want her to be the one to brag and say I did the damn thing, because I've put serious time and effort into reading, learning from experience and inquiring as much as possible to make sure I can give her what she needs.

Right, but there are women who enjoy it to a degree or expect it, as previously stated, there is either a history of abuse in that young ladie's life, or a series of unhealthy relationships and intimate encounters to the point where she assumes most men enjoy that type of rough play.
