425-Pound Gang Member Fails to Kidnap Child, Also Fails to Beat Police in Footrace

 Meet Victor Joseph Espinoza, of Santa Ana, CA. He weighs 425 pounds, something that complicated his plan to kidnap a 10-year-old boy. The alleged gang member grabbed the boy, who was on his way to soccer practice, and didn't let go. The boy broke free of Espinoza's bear-like grip, and ran with his cousin, who was also on the scene, to tell their soccer coach what had happened. The soccer coach, a far more athletic man, caught up with Espinoza, tackled him, but still Espinoza, ever the aggressive man-bear, escaped. Soon, a police helicopter was enlisted in the chase. The copter spotted Espinoza fleeing through a residential yard. Cops caught up with him. Again, Espinoza weighs 425 pounds. Of course they caught up to him. |
