these are just the ones i can think of right now......
Syl Johnson - "could i be falling in love with you" Ann Peebles - "i'll never grow old" Isaac Hayes - "walk on by" Barry White - "my 1st, my last, my everything" Al Green - the man - "lets stay together" or "i'm so in love with you" Millie Jackson - forgot the title of the song of hers i really really love, but its dope Harold Melvin - "you know how to make me feel so good" Isley Brothers - "between the sheets" or "footsteps in the dark" the thing i like about artists like these is, the fact that they put emotion into thier songs, it wasnt a corperate thing back then, so people could make the music they wanted to. the guys would sing real dirty dirty lyrics, but it was said in such a way that it made it sensual & beautiful, plus which, play these songs/artists for a chick....its on. |
