you can get really good info on just about any tv for any price range at http://www.soundandvisionmag.com/

i get the mag. and find it very helpfull. good luck with the tv

the optional reciever lets you get local hd programing with an antenna. i have one for my local hd stations and it works really good. the picture is really clean. i find myself watching shows i don't even like, the picturs is so good i keep watching.
