The Wu-bible. Shaking the hip-hop foundations in '93.
Each and every track is a classic. RZA set the standard with raw, dope beats and the Clan really delivered some great immortal rhymes. Of course I'm not telling anything new here. The only song that doesn't really add anything is the Method Man remix. Therefore: 35/36.

What can I say that hasn't already been said about this album. It's a classic, and one of the best hip hop albums of all time. RZA and the rest of the clan brought power back to the East Coast with the release of this album. With some of the grittiest beats and best verses by some clan members, it's no question that every hip hop fan should have this. I cannot name a flaw with this CD, other than after 12 years of it's release, it seems outdated but nonetheless, timeless. If you haven't gotten this cd go pick it up today.

Timeless classic, no matter how much older this album gets, its greatness will still be as strong as it was in 93, especially if this is the first Wu album you pick up or if it introduces you to the Wu.
This album came close to perfect, it would have been but some of the talking kinda got in the way, so out of 100 i'd give it a 95. ________ One vaporizer reviews Last edited by Koolish; 03-24-2011 at 11:30 AM. |
