you should get in touch with CNN's Anderson Cooper with your pics and your stories i know for a fact that if u emailed him he'd do a segment on this and look it up himself, shit he'd prolly send reporters there to take footage. He always lookin for stories like this. go to cnn dot com and e-mail dude. Now if u could e-mail him pics of the actual people like poor kids walkin round or lookin at the cam i KNOW he'd be like what the fuck? and cover this.

85% of people posting in this thread missed Charging Soldiers message/point. This thread was not intended to become a debate over who's living conditions are the worst. He's just exposing the reality of the situation of his state. I actually had a chance to visit South Dakota this past summer during the Sturgis Bike Week Festival. Ive driven through the badlands and it is awful. Hes right when he said you cant farm on it. It basically looks like your on another planet, a planet with no vegetation. Ive also seen some of the communities that look like the pictures hes posted. I couldnt believe people were living this way. I also didnt realize Rapid City had rape statistics as bad as that. I traveled through there briefly.
Also heres some food 4 thought: About 80% of South Dakota's income tax is generated from the 2 week Sturgis Bike Rally. Thats about the only thing bringing money in at this point. That shows you just how little opportunity there is for businesses to bring in money. |

Fema didn't provide the fiber optic lines, Golden West Telecommunications did, but the president coming to the reservation had something to with it. It was to help build "infastructure" so buisness could come here and set up. Same with the the water pipe line that was supposed to be finished by now. here some food for thought- The reservation doesn't have street adresses. Before we had cellphone towere and high speed internet, we just had telephone land lines for communications. It made it easy for someone with warrants to hide out on the reservation. then all of sudden we got Cell phones, where the bill is dirt cheap, and internet around the same time. With no other way of gathering intelligence on the rebellious indans......well -You do the math.

How bout a little girl who tripped and fell and melted half her face off on a wood stove. (at least that's what the mother siad) Child neglect happens everywhere. Doctors are sent to the reservation to "practice." They practice on indians before they go off and work on ya'll.

First off I was in no way trying to come off as being a "smart ass", but take it how you want. I actually thought from how you had worded it that Fema provided the Fiber optics, and if they had that would just be par for the course on how seem to fix problems.
