do you guys believe that resources are limited or that everyone could have the same things(luxury house, luxury car, good food, etc)?

i would say that resources are unlimited BUT what we are witnessing is the consumption of resources faster than the planet is able to regenerate resources so if you stretch the timeline out we will run out of resources BUT as soon as their is nobody to consume the resources any more the planet will begin producing resources once again

so resources are unlimted but not inexaustable...interesting.
i myself believe that the resources that are available could alocated a lot better. there could be a place where resources are not just given away but they could be A LOT more easily accessible. i dont think the prices for many things is based on maintaining resources but more about capitolizing on peoples needs. im not saying lets take from the rich anf give to the poor(but maybe thats ultimately what would happen) but make resources and goods(especially essential resources and goods) more accessible.

ultimately
its a question of what we do with resources it is a law of thermodynamics that nothing is ever destroyed - it only changes form so when we use resources we arent destroying them instead - we are converting them into a form that can no longer be readily used by us so now we have taken all this fuel from the ground and converted it to metal in the air humans cannot really thrive when there is metal in the air we call it 'pollution' and 'toxicity' the costs of production go beyond simply using up our resources they create scarcity of resources which leads to competition and conflict between people and they also help produce an environment that cannot sustain human life resources could definitely be allocated better peace

no
if they really wanted to protect the environment gas would cost a shit load more to the point that nobody could afford it back in the 60s or 70s buckminster fuller did a study on the price of gas he said that is fuel was to accurately reflect the REAL value (environmentally AND production costs) on the planet then fuel would cost approximately $300 000 (three hundred thousand) dollars per liter and that was 30-40 years ago is society doomed? you tell me

i gave some false information fuller was working at cost of fuel per gallon not liter here is the wikipedia entry -- Viewing petroleum from the standpoint of its replacement cost out of our current energy "budget" (essentially the incoming solar flux), he declared that it had cost nature "over a million dollars" per U.S. gallon ($300,000/L) to produce. From this point of view its use as a transportation fuel by people commuting to work represents a huge net loss compared to their earnings.

to have people pay that much wouldnt be very socially conscious. i dont think the prices now are all that socially conscious either and its not like they're spending money to make gasoline more environmentally sound since it was reported on the news that gas companies are recording record profits.

just like a farmer uses the seeds from this years harvest
as the foundation for next years harvest an intelligent petroleum farmer would be using the proceeds from this years harvest to make sure that we will even have a society next year but it isnt working that way back in the day when we had no idea how scarce fuel was we had an excuse to keep it coming but now we know we cant keep it up but were fucked because now our society depends on it like a junky who cant kick a habit whats worse? making a move that isnt socially conscious? or not having a society to be conscious about?

we better start looking for other energy sources sometime around now then. start working on that water-powered vehicle.
you'd think with all the technology we have we would have been found some alternative.
