I dont think Detroit is close to being out of the race. They have a good shot still.
I dont think Griffey would help Chicago much aside from ticket sales.

I gotta give credit to the Marlins. They have a real low pay roll, and not many fans come to their games. It seems every few years, that they get rid of a lot of their players when they have a solid team.. and yet they still put up a good fight. I wouldn't be surprised if they win the NL East.
