I dunno...from a 16 year old point of view those old school beats might turn you off. I do highly sugget you get By Any Means Necessary before Criminal Minded though. That's what I did, and it got me hooked. And keep ya eye out for his next CD-Life.

Criminal Minded definitely the classic, I Got Next is fuckin' awesome too. I'd go with CM first.

If you wanna see how KRS evolved in hip hop then buy I Got Next, Criminal Minded is definitely a classic, but then again when he made that album KRS was too young and maby a little impressioned by the gangster shit, while in all his other albums after DJ Scott La Rock got killed he's more wise and his lyrics are fulfiled with more wisdom. If You chose BDP better firstly buy By All Means Necessary, and you wont regret.
