Definitely Canibus, you couldnt tell if he was spitting freestyle or written he's that good. Apart from him prolly lots of unknown dudes i've heard, guys that dont have deals and shit but are mad battlers and freestylers. Heard The Game drop some alright freestyles, NaS is capable....

I wouldn't take MC's on a freestyle track too seriously. I mean, it's mostly premeditated and/or written down. I doubt those dudes in the mixtape circuit actually freestyle(especially when they're freestyles have the same quality as regular songs). I don't hear "freetyles" too much but the best cat I hear on them is fabolous, hate if you want to but listen to some Clue tapes and recognize. oh yeah, canibus, busta, and redman are maad nice too. peace

suprised that none of u mentioned Big Pun i mean just look at the Shades of Hip-Hop DVD dudes to good, other than Pun id say Bis. Big L was probably the best he was insane especialy on that 7 min freestyle with Jay-Z he makes Jay-Z look like hes not even on the song.

I doubt Eminem can really freestyle well, I was watching T.V. and a couple times Em would be on, and people would be like YO EM YOU CAN FREESTYLE, and he'll spit something, thats really simplistic and not that great at all....
It might not be that Gza and Meth are writing there stuff, it could be that, like with me I freestyle almost everyday, have been for the past year and once and a while some of the things you said in a past cypher pop back in your head while you spitting. It's more of a reaction na mean. |
