Whaaaat!? You don't know? Look, I live in the 210, 3 hours from H-town(home of screw music). I don't think I need to say much more than that. We got a sunday Chopahalic show an everything. My favorite producer that screws an chops is 5000 watts. Hate to admitt it but Paul Wall did A good job on urban legend as well. As, for Screw himself(RIP), what he brought was genius but he never got a real chance to come full circle. It's a bit of a different game nowdays.

it's when a DJ slows down the tempo of a song, makes the vocals deeper, and adds some scratches and stuff in between. sometimes it's done nicely, other times it's wack as hell. i think only southern rappers do it.

I don't like the chop and screw thing..I love the original version of the tracks..I heard the Big Pimpin (classic for me) chopped and screwed and it was wack..

Depends on who did tha big pimpin C&Sing. Some ppl have no Idea how to accent the right lines or they can't find the proper speed. I suggest that if you were open to exploring this type of music then you should cop anything touched by Mike 5000 Watts, he took it a step tighter than screw and he's Screw certified. He from H-town, he knows that he gotta keep it real to what Screw started. It is said in different places that phat pat came up with it first. From what I have found from my H-town fam, Pat stole it from screw and that and drugs is why they are both dead.
