I bought cages album last year, and Edans album was my favourite album of last year... but i still listen to shit like mobb deep, wu-tang, 50 cent... its kinda true most of the best albums last year were indie releases, u dont have to be a 'back packer' to know that.

anyway... im a youngen so cant really say, probly 95 tho, just cuz of the wu-tang solos.

1995......that year was just phenominal. Wu reigned supreme and there were other artists that came out with dope albums also.

why is it lame? backpacker is a term used to fit people who have a certain philosophy on hiphop.

agreed, these people are idiots. they say people backpackers hate on "bangin shit" like dipset. then act like hypocrites and just label all indie music as backpacker shit.
