The Poet You Never Were
|
Let's see...the Clash...
I just picked up London Calling and i must say that i am very impressed. Tracks like "Jimmy Jazz" that aren't exactly punk still somehow weave there way into this, and still make it whole and good. It is truely one of the classic albums that has come from the British Punk movement. The lyrics are also very composed as the Clash takes jabs at politics, as if they were RATM of the 70's. Nevermindin the lyrics, the music is also well composed easy to jam to and yet dripping with punk sensibility and mentality. I have also enjoyed there later shit such as "Combat Rock" and although they delve further into pushing boundaries and crossing genre lines, i still enjoy them. so i guess any thoughts, rare tracks, vids, info u want to put up...fire away... ![]() ![]()

Yeah the Clash were great! I recommend Clash on Broadway 3-CD set that is great and spans their whole career.

clash is one of the most important bands ever. in my opinion better and more significant than almost all that classic rock shit.
