yo i still get the chills watchin belly just finished watchin it like 2 minutes ago...fuckin dope movie altough its fucked up how meth died..shit first they couldnt kill him at that night club when he took out that whole crew and got shot in the chest with a shotgun and flew trough a window but then later on the movie that 16 year old bitch shot him in the head..damn....some wu beats alover it real dope movie

yeah read some bad reviews bout belly but it remains one of my favourite hip hop films. stylish as fuck with great people in it

got the soundtrack with it also, great film, good meanings in it, liek the kid and Nas gorwing up and over all the bullshit and giving the kid is gold chain (which later in the film u will see Nas wearing it right before he gets in the car and tells his girl he wants to move to africa, damn mvoie mistakes)

but yeh this movies damn good.....

I forgot I have this movie on DVD. I love Hype Williams, Nas, DMX, and Meth, so it was must own movie. The ending is the best part of the movie, where the Reverand talks about the ills of society, and it touches X, therefore pre-empting his assassination. I don't usually like the commentary on the DVD by the directors, but Hype made it enjoyable. He basically stress how he was disappointed at how the studio cut most of the movie...I love the way the movie look like an extended Hype William music video.

I liked Belly, but I wouldn't really call it a hood movie. There's a few scenes in the projects (like ill scene where Nas schools the little kid), but it ain't really a hood flick at all.. just cause its hip-hop influenced dont make it a hood movie.

I like'd Belly. That guy in buetey salon, the illest nigga in nebraska, that guy was fucked up looking. I really doubt there's anyone that looks like that in Nebraska, but if there was he'd live Ohmaha or Lincoln. People in the midwest don't get drugs from east coast though that's parts bull shit. Nice flick though.
