Default cypress hill's first album

damn i was just chillin listening to their first album and damn i gotta say for an album that came out in 1991 it still sounds amazing. The way muggs used those samples and breaks was crazy. And b-real was so gangsta back then too. what yall think. damn i miss that era. as much as i loved eneter the wutang for sum reason this album just has more energy musically. perfect example is Real Estate.

For that album coming out in 91, it's definately ahead of its time.

Temple of Boom though is definately their best effort. One of the best produced albums of all time.

indeed, TOB is a personal classic...

this is the album that puts DJ MUGGS in my top 3 list of producers !!!

I think muggs is underrated, lyrics & beats are INSANE on TOB

peace!

but b-real is one of the most heavily underrated mc's. his flow is one of my favourites.

I suppose B-Real isn't bad.....but when I put in a Cypress Hill CD I put it in to hear DJ Muggs's work.

imo 'black sunday' was better, definetly for production, but still a classic album
i dunno if its ahead of its time, but it definetly influenced a lotta west coast cats (mainly dr dre for 'the chronic'). to me the album isnt mixed properly, but i cant deny shit like 'how i could just kill a man' or 'stoned is the way of the walk'
