I didnt give this a chance when it came out, and hadnt heard anything from it. But recently I heard the track "Dreams" which I like alot, and I was thinking about getting the whole album since there is nothing coming out this month that interests me. So if you could, give me a tiny review, and a grade ?/10.
Only serious reviews. None that just basically say, "Game sucks 2/10 or sum shit."

it's one of the best rather mainstream hip hop albums that has come out in years, but mostly because of the beats (the game is an ok rapper tho who has more than one topic to rap about in this album) - my favourite tracks are "hate it or love it", "westside story", "dreams" and "runnin" - i'd give the album 8/10 mics

I owe alot to that cd, it helped me get into older rap (Games constant name checking actually helped someone...)

As for the actual cd, the production is solid and Game isnt that bad of an MC. He can be lyrical at times and he's got a nice flow

Best Tracks - Runnin, Dreams, Hate it or Love it
Worst Tracks - Special, Start from Scratch, No More Fun and Games

Overall 7.5/10

Yeah like someone else said the beats are the main selling point on this album Dre produces heavily, Game is a decent rapper he needs to ease up on the name dropping tho. Overall Id give this album 7.5/10

10/10 full and out....albums classic....gotta respect he came off the street and made shit like that....to bad most of his spotlight was all hyped up and non of it was true true to the public eye........

it's a good album

i actually got sick of it real quick, didn't play it for a few months and lately i've had it in my cd changer a lot. game's got rapping skills, absolutely...

in amsterdam he did the full 300 bars track live... that impressed me so much... seriously, he was so exhausted... i saw him after the show. he was tired, really fucking tired... but it was a great show...

Great album...too much name droppin, loses direction towards the end and too much 50....othewise a 4.5MIC album. Higher, Westside Story & Put U on to game are the best tracks.

pretty good album. i didnt check it out until i heard 300 bars which gave me an impression dat game was a good mc so DL'ed documentart and i give it a 4/5 by todays standards

no doubt...Game's a talented dude with flows an shit...not too lyrical (hence all the damn name droppin) but he can do sum things here an there
production is tight, no doubt......suit his lyrics and flows well
overall a very good album indeed....one of the best of the year

No doubt. I love Monkey Barz. I also just got home from picking up the Buckshot & 9th Wonder cd with The Game's album. Im starting off by listenin to the Game first tho.

So far, The album is above average overall. Im on track 6 now. I couldnt agree more with the people saying okay rhymes, dope beats. But I better listen to the whole thing b4 I say anymore...

Ya, the beats are amazing.......but the rhymes are garbage, GAME aint that dope of an MC, he spends the whole album name dropping other rappers, and dick ridding NWA.....
......That being said I think the GAME-DOCUMENTARY is probably the best cd of the year, along with COMMON's BE........due to the fact that rap is pretty weak in 2005
