I will be selling my PS3 for $2000 the first week of release, after that it will go up to $5000 before christmas. If you know anyone in the New York City area who wants one. Let me know.

I can wait a year for the PS3. I dont have a full hd tv, nor do I need to spend so much for one. I need to eat and sleep. So, if anyone is interested. I might get a Japanese one too. That one will be a little cheaper though. By the way, the PS3 blu-ray encoded games are region free. The PS2, PS1, and blu-ray movies have region coding. So, like the PSP, you can play any PS3 game on any system, as long as the game is on the blu-ray format. I hope that makes sense to you guys?

Yeah, I thought about doing that too. But I was scared that I'd end up getting too stingy and then no one buying it and being out $600...

I would on the other hand have a shiny new PS3 though

"PS3 has been riddled with problems and shows hints of being rushed out of the gates just to make the Christmas period.
Problems such as;
Blu-Ray - Slow disc reading means loading screen times of upto 1 mins 30 secs. Games even state that its suggested to install the game to the hard-drive. This can take upto 15 mins and suddenly that 60GB hard-drive starts to look alot smaller.
Backwards Compatability - Loads of issues with this. Its believed that there could be well over 200 games that don't work. These include games such as Final Fantasy and Gran Turismo.
Online - Feels very rushed. It seems they tried to compete with Xbox Live and then just gave up. Seems identical to PS2 online. A big mess."

^Skellington either has amnesia or just never realized what's happend in previous system launches. I wouldn't try to sale it here, EBay is easily going to be your best place to find a sucker willing to fork over that kinda cash for their spoiled kid before christmas hits. I have no doubt, however, that they will spend the cash. Same truth for anyone that's holding onto a ps3 right now.
