what do yall think about the behaviour of Def Jam with rappers as Method Man or Redman. i mean they didn't a good promotion for Meth's albums and they cut all the good song (especially the ones made by Rza). they didn't let the album drop at the beginning because they thought that theres not a good single.

Redman is in troubles too because he said something about Def Jam in a mixtape and they angry after him.

do you think these two rappers have problems with Def Jam without a reason? why Def Jam is acting like that with two of the most appreciated MC's?

I want to say FUCK DEF JAM and all those Major Labels.

Peace

def jam used 2 be the no1 hip hop record label and now they are dying slowly and they are doing everything they can to save them...even selling out and disrespecting the def jam veterans and getting new dancehall and southern fake acts and letting the real rappers sit in the corner..fuck them and ive said it b/4 and ima say it again:gza should make labels part2 cuz the labels have gotten 10 times worse since 95

it ain't only labels crisis, it's music crisis and Def Jam ain't the only label to get worse. I think in 10 years it wont be labels anymore. music industry should find new ways to distribute music.
it ain't fair that our favorite rappers pay the price of all this.

it's more than that, the public wants something smooth and soft and all because ethe music industry make it so. they try to format the artist. to sell only the artist they like and they want all the artist to be so. so everything differrent nowerdays wouldn't sell and wouldn't get promoted.
it's gettin hard for them to sell the artist so they only put their cash on the sour value. for exemple if 50 cent sell, they release 4 or 5 others 50's.

yeah def jam was runnin things but now it can't be anymore clear that they just some stunt pullin mofos out for gimmicks and quick cash. since Jay Z left the only rapper they still give a damn about for a decent period of time has been Ludacris. peace
