i usually dont believe any story that athletes put out there when theyre accused of stuff i do believe that raffy didnt know that what he was using was illegal and he certainly wasnt still using steroids. It wouldnt make any sense

i dont know...i usually doubt some of these atheletes too, but this is kind of different. palmeiro, if he was lying, basically made himself look a lot more foolish than he needed to in the preceding months to this announcement. for one, he fervently denied it to Congress...not just in a nonchalant, tacit way, but passionately with much conviction. 2nd of all, he was one of the players on a round table commission about eliminating steroids from the game, and as it turns out palmeiro was the most outspoken player in the meetings. 3rd, palmeiro brought up a good point himself: why would he be taking steroids in the season when he got his 500th home run and 3000th hit? its illogical.
