i picked this up yesterday... definitely feeling it, worth the 11.99 i paid, mine came with a dvd (which i haven't watched yet).
what i think is great about the album is all the styles he flips. like he's got a song with 50 (pretty good btw), and then he follows that with a song where he's rapping in a slow, mouth-full-of-bullet-holes drawl that is only not-dead-on because its better than 50's. thats just one example, he's all across the map on this one. very versatile rapper. the song with b-real and meth knocks btw. anyone want me to upload? |

http://s39.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=1...92XU6Z73TTW1Q8
"Forgive Me (ft. 50 Cent)" -- Not one of the strongest tracks, but I wanted you all to hear what I'm talking about, so thats why the next track is: http://s39.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=0...414WSRBMK732WQ "Purple Gang" -- Is it just me or does he end up sounding like at least 2 seperate rappers on this jaunt? And neither of thsoe rappers sounds like he does usually! Dope. http://s39.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=1L8VION4WHU8H0CGS4OHQFE1QA "High Rollers (ft. B-Real and Method Man)" -- straight-forward gettin high track. Good chorus, b and meth represent on this track. http://s39.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=0...12B43CDZ0N0Q1E "Sammy Da Bull (ft. Nate Dogg & Swifty McVay" -- this one is hot too, not sure who he's talking about (50? Game?) but he's talking some fly shit on someone here. Just so it gets said, almost all the tracks on this album are coming with a different style. These are probably more on the "banger" side of the spectrum, which means the diversity of the music is not totally represented. But I want yall to have the hype shit ; ) n e way, its hard to explain, so go cop the jaunt to understand what im saying. |

Forgive Me - 6/10 - pretty adverage material ... but still, I can relate to the pain in the message
Sammy Da Bull - 10/10 - Loved the hook as well as the beat ... feelin' the hell outta the lyrics ... very solid track!! High Rollers - 8/10 - dudes voice is a little annoyin', but once Meth stepped up, it made up for his short comings ... that nigga is ill as hell w/that sexy ass voice of his ... nice track Purple Gang - * - I'm not really feelin' this one ... seems like they were trying too hard or something ...Iunno, maybe it's just me ... Peace and props

I listened to Purple Gang again ... it's aight on some pimped out thug/gangsta shit ... it's the hook that I'm really not feelin' ... that beat is a tad bit on the wack side too ... but I guess it's supposed to be a lil' funny ...
Peace

yeah, the beats on the whole are definitely 'different'. purple gang is one of the furthest out.
when u sayin dudes voice is annoying on high rollers, u aren't confusing him for the first one, right? that's b-real. i guess i'm just having trouble imagining proof's voice as annoying, to me he's always been one of the smoothest... "prrroooff...prroooff is the wwooofff" he's on some crazy shit. wish i could up the whole joint. |

On the real, that shit was better than I would expect from proof. He has his own style and its nice. I havent heard any of his ill shit on the radio yet, fuck the radio tho, they got their heads up their ass. The only good shit thats been getting played is a little bit of common. Other than that, most shit sucks.
