Frist and foremost I'd like to say that I'm happy to be a member of this great community and I'm proud to be a Wu-Tang Clan fan. I've been posting here since 2003, and this is by far the nicest community I've seen. Everyone is helping each other out with songs, questions and that's the way it should be!!!
My questions for you is Why is Wu-Tang your favourite group. How many years have you been a fan and who's your favourite member and your favourite album! I first came in contact with the Wu-Tang Clan with their song Triumph. Unfortanetly I wasn't able to be a fan upon their release of 36 Chambers due to the reason that I was too young. I've been a fan since 1997 and ever since I've spend my time enjoying every members solos. To me it has always been hard to pick the favourite member, because I truly am a fan of every member. My favourite members have changed from time to time. Currenly the closest member that is my favourite is Ghostface Killah as well as Method Man. Every true Wu fan should have trouble to pick their favourite member out of the clan. Wu-Tang Forever is my favourite Wu Tang clan group effort followed by Only Built 4 Cuban Linx as the solo effort. We all want the Clan to rise to the top again and I believe this is going to happen this year or the next. Sadly we lost one of the most energetic, funniest and one of the craziest members with ODB. Few years ago i've met ODB at a concert backstage and he was one of the nicest rappers I've ever met in my life. RIP to ODB. Well enough of my opininons. Let's hear your opinions!!!

wu-tang has the best beats, some of the best lyrics, and they are original and creative with many styles and flavors.. i've been a fan since spring of 96 after i heard the cuban linx album. my favorite member is Gza because he stays true to his roots and he is the most consistant IMO. my favorite album is of course...cuban linx.

I've been a wu-tang fan since 2003, when I was 14 years old! before I was a fan, i've always thought that the wu-tang clan was "mysterious", because they were wit so much (9 members) and they had this special logo (the W, or the bat). the big wu-tang rush in my country (Belgium) was 3-4 years ago, and the only hit they made then was Gravel pit, I was 12 years old then and I liked their music but i wasn't a fan, the Wu-tang Wear definately became a RUSH here, everybody was wearing those clothing, except me... I didn't wear it because EVERYBODY whore it, and half of the people wearing it, didn't know their music or they didn't even knew that that brand came from a RapGroup (that is true!!), then the whole rush died calmly...
And around 2003, when I was around 14 years old and a skater, i've bought the cd "Muskabeatz" and i've noticed the first track: "the wu track - Raekwon/u-god" and the booklet said those guys where in Wu-tang, and that reminded me of back in the times when wu-tang was a rush! (it was also the best song of the whole cd! it was a bad cd, because the production sucked) Then I started downloading their 2 biggest hits, they had in Belgium: Gravel pit & Uzi (pinky ring), and more and more music became later... And know i'm still a fan, and probably one of the youngest also.... peace!

Dedicated fan since '98 after Reunited, when The Killa Bees dropped, ODB was rockin' on Ghetto Supastar and Meth' and RZA did this joint with Texas.
So, I started buying Wu cd's, I joined the internet Wu 5 Elements back in the days and one day I read in the newspaper about a dutch guy that was signed to Wu-Tang... I always enjoyed being a Wu fan. Via Wu I met so many people on internet and in real life. I'm proud of being a Wu fan :-) |

Well ive only been a Wu fan for a few years. The very first song I heard from the clan was "Gravel Pit", that was recommended to me by a friend of mine. So I was like damn these guys are mad nice. First Wu affiliated CD's I bought were Method Man Prequel 0, then Judgement Day, Then Enter The 36 Chambers. After I got 36 Chamebers album, I was like DAMN! This shit is fucken hott. Then I got alot more into Wu and bought all there shit.
Im still completing my collection of the Wu cd's, aint done yet but im working on it. Plus, Wu's lyric skills and beat making skills are fucken amazing |

Been around from the start. My first 3 hip hop albums ever were Illmatic, Resonable doubt and 36 Chambers. Damn, that was one hell of a good start hun?

I've been a fan since 2002. Wu was the first proper hip hop I listened to. I bought Dre 2001 (doesn't count cos I just got it off mainstream appeal) and so my brother did me a tape of loads of Wu-Tang songs. It was all so different and unique and I liked it but I didn't appreciate fully it but I was hooked enough to start buying albums and soon got Ironman, 36 Chambers, Tical and Forever. Now after listening to all other kinds of hip hop as well I fully appreciate the Wu, beats and lyrics.
At first Method Man was my fave member, he was the only one I really appreciated but now he's my least favourite along with U-God. Ghost and Gza are my fave members, followed by Rza and Masta. 36 Chambers is my fave album but a few others come close.

I've been a fan since "Beneath The Surface" came out. I was fairly new to hip-hop at the time and heard a few tracks off it, liked them, and so I picked up the album a few days later. Fell in love with it and became a huge Wu fan. My favorite member is and always has been GZA although Ghostface is a close second. Favorite Wu album is "Liquid Swords".

Spring of 2004 I discovered the Wu Tang on the internet. I think I downloaded "Cream" "Gravel Pit" and "Clan in Da Front." I loved all 3 of these songs and listened to them over and over and over. I burned a couple cd's that was nothing but Wu Tang. One day I hit the record store and found Cuban Linx, Golden Arms Redemption, and Liquid Swords. I loved all 3 of these albums and have been addicted ever since. I think I have something like 30 wu albums so I've been going nuts in the past year. Favorite cd is 36 Chambers and my favorite member changes so much. It usually changes betweeen Ghost, RZA, GZA, or U-God but I love all of them. RIP ODB.
