he was the greatest. He disappeared for like what a week and came back playing like that. THey say before he took off he couldnt play for nothin. But once he returned from being gone there was rumor of him selling his soul to the devil.

I always dig turning ppl onto Robert Johnson.

Its cool cuz you can get all his recordings in one disc.

i know, i saw the movie crossroads with the kid from karate kid
and theres alot of rumors bout his death..theres one guy alive who said he also sold his soul to the devil and played with robert
theres only 2 pictures of him..dudes a beast lol

ya i got his 2 disc CD with all 40 or so recording he ever made..incredible

But when you fuck with the dark side you get bit. When you only fuck with good though thats when the dark side starts callin you the most. Its a catch 22.

I've tried to sample his works a couple of times but aint been pleased yet.

I really cant say I care for when anybody covered him except when RHCP did "red hot". Cream kinda did justice to "CrossRoads" but....fuck them mf's. They had no real respect for Johnson , they was capitalizing off of the sound.

It musta been crazy to watch white ppl get paid big time for shit that you was doin just to pass the time. smh.

You should look up all the times that his songs were covered and then do the one on youtube.

Dont be watchin just anybody though. Wiki the covers first then hit the youtube.

Fact is that most hiphop shit sampled these days sucks...and they sample all the old shit and it sucks so it ain't just Cream allthough I like the Cream version of Crossroads. Clapton released Me And Mr Johnson a couple of years ago and the songs on there are cool ( Red Hot on that album is great ) but nothing can bring back the real tunes. I like Elmore James a bit more tho'.
