True Story: I went to a Wu concert about 6 years ago and found out where their hotel was. I went up to the guy at the desk at the hotel and said I needed to speak to Robert Diggs and explained I was part of his sound crew. He put me through to RZA's hotel room phone and I asked RZA where The Cure was because we're sick out here. RZA replied, "It's coming" and said he needed to get some sleep

-Rza started working on it way back, probably after 36 Chambers dropped, if not before.
-He talked it up like it was some really profound shit that the world wasn't ready for because he thought he was a lot smarter than he is.
-He got a little older and wiser and realised his material really wasn't very profound.
-He didn't know what the fuck to do.
-He started releasing some of the tracks he'd recorded for 'The Cure' on his other albums. Shit like 'Build Strong', 'A Day to God is 1000 Years', that song about Allah on 8 Diagrams etc.
-He noticed nobody really gave a fuck because he wasn't saying anything particularly profound.
-He realised that he overplayed the importance of what he was doing when he was young and foolish and now has no idea what the fuck to do regarding this album because he knows it's impossible for it to come anywhere near living up to the hype and expectation he has built up for it over so many years, and he is now old and wise enough to realise that he's not some kind of genius who's gonna change the world with his personal insights.

What you say is interesting. Robert Diggs thinks he is a fucking genius. He produced really dope beats during the golden era and sometimes he droped dope lyrics. But lyrically he can't fuck with lyricist like Genius or Ghostface. But the guy wants to shine to be a superstar like U2's Bono and other genius from the music world. But Robert Diggs is a dope hip hop producer but he is a wack musician. He wants to the GOAT in everything he deals with ! His time is over, everybody knows that.
