The ROOTS are one of my favorite groups......there albums are dope, and they keep it real
BLACK THOUGHT is the most slept on MC of all-time........he is also the best LIVE IN CONCERT mc in the rap game today! Dude is dope as hell live

yeah i agree with you man, i saw them live and that was the best time ive had at a concert in a long time - largely due to they're live instuments.

I bought All Fall Apart. great album. but i have to admit their production/beat after that never came close to All fall apart. i dont really like their sound lately. i guess they fell victim of their own creativity, just like most underground cats. they end up pushin it too far for the sake of being different/underground/innovative. they need to keep it basic.

The Roots iz definatly doin they thing. I got into em late cuz I didn't wanna take the chance but then I watched Hov's unplugged and aint thought twice about gettin they shits. Tipping Point is my favorite. And yes, Black Thought is a dope MC. One.

The album is called Things Fall Apart, not All Falls Apart. The Roots used to be tight but they suck now. The last album i heard from them was Phrenology & that album is terrible to me. I didn't even bother listening to their The Tipping Point album. Black Thought is a tight mc. Where is Malik B & Dice Raw?

the roots have been so consistent, each album wit a different style, yet still dope. you must have things fall apart and illadelph halflife in your collection, it's a must.
black thought as an MC, top30 easily. nice as hell. the roots live in central park summer stage. dopest show ive ever seen, would have been flawless if mf doom wasn't there stinkin up the place. sean p aka ruck, buckshot, de la soul, mos def, just ice, jungle brothers, DJ PREMIERE, and of course the roots, all amazing(mf doom was there and sucked dick). i'll never forget that show the best live show ive ever seen. roots blew me away. charles youre sleepin man, tippin point is ill as fuck. there is a joint on there wit blackthought, big daddy kane, and kool g rap.....on the same track....all spittin a verse.....that alone is enough reason for you to go buy it right now

My friend told me about that song you're talkin about that has Black Thought, Kool G Rap, Big Daddy Kane on it. My friend told me that Kool G Rap & Big Daddy Kane aren't on that song. He said that Black Thought tries to sound like Kool G Rap & Big Daddy Kane on that song reciting some of their old lyrics.

He impersonated both Big Daddy Kane and Kool G Rap! Anyway, the Roots are one of my favorite groups. Illadelph is their best album in my opinion. Wasn't really feeling Phrenology, Tipping Point was better. But, Black Thought has always been dope, very underrated. |

What happened to Black Thought's solo album Masterpiece Theatre? I saw a picture of him in The Source magazine about 5 years ago in the studio workin on the album.
