In 2003 Ice Cube told the world he was teaming up with Dr. Dre on Aftermath Records to record a "comeback LP," unfortunately that never happened. MTV has reported that Cube has enlisted the aid of Lil Jon for production on his upcoming album. Lil Jon tells MTV that he's recorded seven new tracks with "AmeriKKKa's Most Wanted" and is helping him find a label for the release : "On the Crunk Juice album, we did 'Real N---a Roll Call' [with Cube], I grew up on N.W.A — N.W.A and Too Short were my favorite groups. So to just be in the studio, and for him to listen to me and let me guide him, ask me what I think ... I still can't believe I'm cool with Cube like that, 'cause that's Ice Cube."
Lil Jon went on to say that the new Cube sounds a lot like vintage, early '90s Cube, from the AmeriKKKa's Most Wanted/ Death Certificate era. He also stated that he and Cube already have a song they want to release to the public soon : "We got the first single, it's Ice Cube and Snoop, called 'Got a Lot of That,' as soon as you hear the beat, you gonna start dancing. And he's got this song called 'Combat' for anybody who does any type of sports — like if you play football, it's gonna get you amped up to get in the game. We're looking for a label — holla at us. We're going to probably put a record out and let the labels come to us." In other Lil Jon and westcoast news he has been in the lab with Too Short working on his new LP, : "Short is like 'Uncle Short, Short was the first person in the rap game to believe in me and give me a chance as an artist. I was signed to Short's label and he let me out of the contract with no problems — he let me do my thing. Plus, he was always there for me whenever I needed him to get on some records."

Dammit! Nothing againt Lil Jon, he doing his thing, but I was hoping for a Death Certificate type sound this time around, not a whole album that sounds like "You Can Do It."
The Snoop single they talking about sounds like it could be cool, Im just not into that whole "CRUNK" shit. ![]() I know lil jon said itll sound like the 90's Cube, but cmon, its not gonna be the same if they have some shit Dance beat behind a political song, lol. Lets just hope he only gets the max of 2 produced songs on the album....

Well I am extreamly dissapointed with too short and ice cube. Im not sure cause I don't know the realationship between lil john and cube but I will say its either one of these 2
1. Ice cube is being a sell out and wants to lower the quality of his music in order to attract new young fans 2. Ice cube and lil' john are real tight and Ice cube actually does like lil' johns music, however in this case it means Ice cubes ear for good hip-hop has clearly lost its hearing Same goes for Too short

I was feelin' roll call because lil jon didn't go with his usual, very played out rave synth beat on it. A few tracks from him should be alright. as for too $hort, I think it'll be better for him, I love him on those lil jon songs "let my nuts go" and "bia bia". I don't think $hort dog will ever top Cocktails but it should be decent, like most of his efforts. peace

funny as hell when they say they goin back to their early appeal w. two completely diff styles...like orginal snoop tried to come back w. neptune beats...one or two tracks of his were hot to me like the "drop it like its hot rmx" and "it blows my mind"...but early Snoop? fuck outta here
...same as IceCube. because if it was the early IceCube on that NWA shit, he'd be the rebel HipHop needs to say fuck this shit Ima do me and change the game...but hes doin the exact opposite and trying to ride out a formula thats been already played out so many times. He looking up to LilJohn now, for what? I mean its good hes humble, but I mean damn, why cant he be in the studio teachin that nigga to spit or tellin him to be more real or some shit. But I guess when youre older you just lose that young rebellious spirit and conform to anything like all hell. Why we need to really have some NEW just come n turn the game around.
