Yo yo, I wanna grow some dreads but my hair's really short at the moment...anyone has any idea whats the ideal hair length to start dreads ?

Maybe I'm wrong about this but I heard Dreadlocks were expensive to get and maintain. What about just growing your hair out and braid it?

I used to have dreadlocks. Just grow you hair and put all sort of nasty grease in your hair and the dreads will come. Ignore the maggots.
