this is the second ipod i've had in the last 4 years that i've had that has such done in which i cannot sync properly with itunes.

i've restored it twice, but still when it sync it takes forever to do so.

also what other mp3 play do you all recomend

I recommend the creative zen players, you can use windows media player (which works best) or their own program. Im on my second player with this brand and i've been very happy with it's user friendly interface and sound quality.
