Default The Prophecy a-pre-she-a-shun thread

I re-downloaded this album recently. I totally dismissed it at first. But hearing for the first time this time around, I was amazed. It's not a flawless album or anything, but Buddha's tight flow, the production (especially on tracks like "Gots Like Come On Thru" and "Bang It In Ya Whip", on which it seems like the beats could go on forever) and everything that makes it a raw experience is more than enough for me to really appreciate it. And even though sometimes he does try to sound like ODB, it shouldn't bother you. At all. While Buddha doesn't come off funny (lyrically or otherwise) like ODB, he definitely has the better flow of the two.

It's been one of my favorite albums as of late. 'Raw' is the perfect way to describe this album.

Are there any other Buddha Monk fans out there?

Anyone know what he's up to these days?

From the few work I have from him (ODB albums, Wu-Chronicles Chapter 2, Poppa Wu's album), I like what I heard. I always wanted to get The Prophecy but was always unable to. Help me out. Link.

This album is very underrated. I've been telling heads for years that this album is a banger. This CD is EXTREMELY rare, so if you ever see at a store, whether it's in the new or used section, I recommend for you to pick it up. Warrior Chiefs alone is worth the purchase.
